This webpage has been compiled to give some guidance to any walkers considering the Yorkshire Challenge, but unsure of what food and kit to carry. It is not exhaustive or definative, just my own personal advice..!

This walk is likely to take you somewhere around 10 - 12 hours to complete, and is the distance of a full marathon - so making sure you have good access to food and drink is very important. Do not rely on the Inns being open as expected! Water from streams is plentiful, and can be sterilised with 'steri-tabs' if needed.

Although never too far from civilisation, these peaks should still be treated with respect as an accident can quickly become a major incident if you skimp on clothing, first aid kit, supplies or other items. Remember some money too..!
