24 Hour Three Peaks Challenge Groups A&R Travel is the logistics arm of Merseyventure, and is a registered Public Service Vehicle Operator, fully registered with, and licensed by, VOSA. This means that our vehicles have to undergo a high standard of road worthiness testing, regular servicing and safety inspections, and that larger vehicles are also subject to all of UK Public Service Vehicle (PSV) restrictions. Our drivers all have plenty of experience at the TPC. For groups wishing to attempt a 24 hour Three Peaks Challenge, we provide a very popular basic transport service. This basic service includes collection at Glasgow International Airport on Friday evening, transfer to your accommodation at Fort William, then full transfers throughout your challenge ending at Llanberis, Snowdonia. Final transfer to your accommodation in north Wales on Sunday afternoon (if required), or direct transfer to a local train station for your journey home. A London Shuttle is available for groups as below, upon request when booking. Our most suitable vehicles for this 24 hour challenge are the 15/17 seater minibuses, or 9 seater Ford Tourneo's. You should note that none of these vehicles have separate luggage space, and for comfort and safety reasons are restricted to the amount of passengers (as detailed above). Standard Collection: Manchester, Preston, Glasgow Standard Drop-off: Llandudno Junction, Betws-Y-Coed, Chester South-east Shuttle: North-west London to north-west England Price Menu Tourneo: £900 15/17 Minibus: £1200 Shuttle Tourneo: £400 each way Shuttle 15/17: £500 each way Prices include vehicle, one driver, fuel, driver accommodation, full hire and reward insurance, and all tolls and parking charges for the weekend. 5 day Three Peaks Challenge We realise that many smaller groups wish to attempt the challenge at a much more relaxed pace, taking the time to enjoy the places which you will visit. However, with guides, drivers, accommodation and food - this can be a very expensive week - costing up to £700 each walker. For 2008 we are offering a motorhome option, either with or without a driver, and with or without a mountain guide. This can drastically reduce the cost of your challenge, and allow a much more flexible itinerary. We can offer a self-drive challenge for up to 4 people in a classic VW campervan, or a self-drive or driven tour in a ultra-modern, state of the art 6 berth motorhome (5 passengers if driven, 6 passengers if self-driven). Readers should note that none of these vehicles are suitable for a 24 hour challenge attempt. Motorhomes are restricted to 60mph, and classic campers may only cruise at around 55mph..! Relax and enjoy. All campers or motorhomes will be collected/delivered to the north-west of England, local airports being Manchester International or Liverpool John Lennon. Local transfers and secure car parking are included in the price.
