Event 4 : 15th - 16th September 2007 (Sat/Sun) Die Hard Trilogy (incorporating 'Third Time Lucky') The 'Die Hard Trilogy' event is for competitive teams, aiming to complete the challenge within 24 hours. The 'Third Time Lucky' event is for more laid back teams, just wanting to get to the finish. Both events will run together during the weekend, with the same start and finish venue - so decide if your team are die hards, or just consider yourselves lucky to reach the finish...! Die Hard Trilogy A strictly timed challenge for those wanting some real competition All rules must be adhered to, or else time penalties will be added. Each mountain section will have a cut-off time and teams will be disqualified from the Die Hard if they do not complete the mountain within the specified time. Ben Nevis (Mountain Track) : 6 hours. Scafell Pike (from Wasdale) : 5 hours. Snowdon (from Pen-Y-Pass to Llanberis) : 5 hours. Total minimum drive time : 10 hours. All teams entering the Die Hard Challenge must show previous adventure or challenge experience, and will be expected to be fully mountain fit to complete this challenge in a sub24 hour time. Team members should provide a high standard of mountain/adventure sport equipment and clothing. Navigators should be experienced, especially at night navigation in poor conditions. Less experienced teams should enter the 'Third Time Lucky' event, and will not be bound by the same mountain time restrictions as 'Die Hard' teams. If in doubt - do not apply..! Team of 4-6 adventurers/1 or 2 drivers. Third Time Lucky A non-competitive event for those wishing to take a more relaxed approach to the Three Peaks Challenge. Teams will not be bound by the same mountain time cut-offs, and should just be aiming to safely complete the challenge, even if it takes over 24 hours. This event will be similar to Event 1 : Spring Stroller. Team of 4-6 adventurers/1 or 2 drivers. *** Merseyventure are able to organise bespoke adventure challenges and team building events for you.
