Our 2007 3 Peak Challenge Series has an event for everyone - corporate team
building challenge, more relaxed three peaks climb, an challenge during weekdays
for shift workers, and an all out dash to complete the three peaks challenge
in a record time! Unlike NDCS, CARE, Cancer Research, or other large charity events, you are free to raise funds for your own local charity on our Merseyventure Three Peaks Challenge events. The 2007 3 Peaks challenge Series has events specifically for corporate teams, and team building - checkout our Corporate Team Challenge on 1st and 2nd June 2007. Starting in Fort William at Ben Nevis, and ending with reception buffet, prize giving and entertainment in Llanberis at the Royal Victoria Hotel, this will be one of the best Three Peaks Challenges in 2007..! |

Welcome to our Open Challenge events, 2008. The Open Challenge Series 2007 has now finished. We would like to thank everyone who took part in our series of Team Challenges, and hope to see some of you again in 2008. Despite some very hostile weather conditions, all events went ahead as planned, and some 95% of the 200 or so teams entered, managed to reach the finish. Special mentions from our 2007 events must go to Zibrant (for happily continueing with their challenge despite two severe weather warnings which were in force during Scafell Pike and Snowdon), to Act4Africa (for their care and attention to a third party in tragic circumstances), and of course, to Smith & Williamson Ltd who raised over £100,000 for Salisbury Spinal Injuries Trust - a well done and thanks from Merseyventure. Open Challenge Series 2008 We have introduced some new events into our 2008 Challenge Series, especially for those of you who are looking for something a bit different after completing the Three Peaks Challenge. Our Adventure Challenges are an ideal next step, and a relaxed and friendly introduction into the world of Adventure Racing. Solo, pairs, or teams of four - get to grips with orienteering, open canoeing, night navigation and mountain biking. All events will be repeated for 2008, and details can be found from the 2008 Open Challenge Series website above. Entries will remain open until each event is full - don't delay : enter today..! *** Event 1 : 5th - 6th May 2007 (Sat/Sun) The Spring Stroller A small and friendly, more relaxed attempt at the challenge for teams of ramblers, friends, workmates - who just want to get to the finish - even if it takes 30 hours. Previous walking experience will be required by at least 50% of your group, and you should expect winter snow to remain on some peaks, plenty of rain, and hopefully some sunshine. Team of 4-6 walkers/1 or 2 drivers. Completed *** Event 2 : 1st - 2nd June 2007 (Fri/Sat) Corporate Team Challenge The ultimate team building weekend for corporate teams only. High exposure event where teams will be expected to complete a number of tasks and solve problems en-route, as well as climbing the three highest mountains, gaining points for each successful result. Event will culminate with reception buffet, prize giving and evening entertainment. Team of 6-8 walkers/2 drivers. Completed *** Event 3 : 23rd - 24th July 2007 (Mon/Tue) Late Shift Challenge Open Challenge organised for those of us that have to work weekends and other unsocial hours - not everyone works 9-5 you know..! All public and private sector shift workers are welcome to enter this challenge. A straight forward Three Peaks 24 hour Challenge, open to anyone not working on the above dates..! Team of 4-6 walkers/1 or 2 drivers. Completed *** Event 4 : 15th - 16th September 2007 (Sat/Sun) Die Hard Trilogy (incorporating the 'Third Time Lucky' challenge..!) Not for the faint hearted. Only experienced walking/adventure teams accepted. Strict rules and strict timing - every team entering should be aiming for a sub-24 result, and teams not meeting the control point closure times may be disqualified. Experience at KIMM, Polaris, ACE Races, Saunders, etc., or other convincing adventure C.V. required. Also the 'Third Time Lucky' for more relaxed teams, who just want to complete the challenge without the time pressure. Open to all walking teams of 4-6 walkers plus 1 or 2 drivers. Is your team a team of Die Hards, or just lucky to make the finish? Team of 4-6 adventurers/1 or 2 drivers. Cost: £800 per team. Three Peaks Charity Fundraising Our entry fees cover the cost of your team entry only. We hope that you will use our events to raise funds for your own charity or good cause. This simple entry fee with no fundraising committment allows teams to raise money for smaller, local, charities and causes that is sometimes not possible on large scale charity events. We can help you with fundraising ideas and forms. Please let us know how much you have raised. In 2006, teams raised an estimated £250,000 for smaller, local charities through Merseyventure events - thanks..! |
