Exact details of the event area, and Basecamp location, will not be revealed until two weeks before the event itself. Basecamp is aproximately 1 hours drive from the M6 motorway. Parking at the site is very limited. Only 1 vehicle will be allowed per team. Please let us know if you intend to bring a campervan. CAMPING: Facilities are limited. Toilets and water are situated 500 metres from the site. Please bring plenty of water with you for the weekend, as supplies are limited. Friends and family may camp with you by prior arrangement, at £5 per person. There are no shower facilities at the Basecamp site..! EVENT AREA: The area has an interesting mixture of forest, open moorland and pasture, with a number of lakes and reservoirs. Access varies from quiet lanes and byways to gentle forest rides with very little technical singletrack to worry about. The highest peak in the area is around 1600 feet. Special permission has been granted by various landowners for the weekend of the event, and recce of these areas before the event is not possible or legal. Please don't try..! EVENT ITINERARY: This itinerary is provisional and subject to change. Teams will start at 5 minute intervals, and times shown below are for first team start. For Stages 1 to 4, distance shown is aprox maximum distance required to visit EVERY control point. You DO NOT have to visit each control, just as many as you can within the time limit. Each control has a different value, and your score depends upon the total value of controls visited. Late return leads to heavy deduction of points each minute. Stage 5 (Trail Run/Walk) is a set distance. Your score depends upon how quickly you complete the stage. You MUST visit all of the controls, in the correct order, on this stage.
